Recently, Nonwovens Industry announced on its official website the top 40 global nonwoven fabric manufacturers for 2024, with 8 companies from China on the list. They are: Zhejiang JinSanfa Group Co., Ltd. (8th), Junfu nonwoven materials Co., Ltd. (19th), Nanliu Enterprise Co., Ltd. (22nd), Xiamen Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd. (23rd), Dalian Ruiguang nonwoven fabric group Co., Ltd. (26th), Hangzhou Nuobang nonwoven Co., Ltd. (29th), Beijing Dayuan nonwoven materials Co., Ltd. (35th), and Kangnaxiang Enterprise Co., Ltd. (40th).
This ranking is based on the sales revenue of the non-woven fabric business in 2024. The list shows that although mature markets such as the United States, Japan, and Western Europe remain important gathering places for leading companies, the influence of companies in underdeveloped regions is accelerating and becoming a key force driving the evolution of the industry landscape. From the perspective of regional development trend, enterprises in developing countries and regions such as Brazil, Türkiye, China, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, and the Czech Republic have performed particularly well. This means that in the coming years, their ranking in the global industry is expected to further rise, breaking the traditional pattern of mature market enterprise dominance. If we talk about the core variables that will affect industry rankings in the future, industry mergers and acquisitions undoubtedly play a crucial role. One of the biggest highlights of the global non-woven fabric industry this year is the debut of the new giant Magnella, which was formed by the merger of two industry leaders, Berry Global and Glatfelter. In addition to major mergers and acquisitions at the global level, the reshaping of regional market patterns is also worth paying attention to. Taking the non-woven fabric industry in Japan as an example, a few years ago, the strategic cooperation between Mitsui Chemicals and Asahi Kasei promoted the integration of local enterprise resources and technological collaboration in Japan, strengthening the market dominance of leading companies; Toyobo and Unitika actively reduced the scale of their non-woven fabric business, indirectly providing development opportunities for emerging enterprises and overseas competitors. These developments indicate that mergers and acquisitions and business adjustments will continue to be the core driving forces for changes in the global non-woven fabric industry ranking and pattern optimization.
